In a year dominated by the Nike Air Max 95, the most prized of all the releases was the return of the original “Neon” colorway. Releasing last spring to help kick-start the model’s return to prominence with a “Big Bubble” Air Max unit more true to the shoe’s initial proportions, the sneaker was reportedly limited to just 10,000 pairs. Demand far exceeded the supply, but another chance is just around the corner.
The Nike Air Max 95 “Neon” will get a restock for this year’s celebration of Air Max Day. Matching skus confirm it’ll be the very same sneaker returning, “Big Bubble” and all, and not a lesser version in any sense. Grayscale is used throughout the sneaker, including gradient wavy stripes in suede. The namesake neon green is then used for the Air Max units, eyelet straps and branding elements.
“Neon” was the first colorway to drop for the Air Max 95 in 1995, and until last year it hadn’t released since 2020. Bigger Air Max units helped distinguish it from previous retros and would become a feature for the many, many AM95 releases that followed throughout 2025 and are continuing through 2026.
Shortly after the “Neon” release, Nike introduced a “Reverse Neon” variant inspired by prototype sketches from designer Sergio Lozano. It was only released through the Museum of Modern Art and came as a complete surprise.
Other major Air Max 95 drops from last year included collaborations with Levi’s, “Yu-Gi-Oh!” and Corteiz. The shoe was also slightly revamped for skateboarding under the Nike SB line, with the debut release coming in collaboration with pro skater Eric Koston.
The Air Max 95 “Neon” will restock March 5, likely through the Snkrs app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $190.
